Interesting, so does your 99 or 03 handle well? Because guess what, the GT500 out handles both.

I disagree the BMW M6 handles well and is the same weight as the GT500. BMW's are great at handling for their weight. Havent driven the GT500 though I am going to look at one tommorrow maybe.
I have 2K in suspension mods...I will eat a M6 up in the corners.

Thats what I am talking about! And you saved yourself what 35-40 K? The M6 does handle good but not great. I test drove one twice and was thinking about getting it but couldn't get the dealer down on the price. I ended up with a TT Porsche. Glade I didn't get the M6 I hear they have some issues with the trans.

Top Gear is really making some stupid mistakes, the dyno test during the GT500 review takes the cake. It seems they will go as far as making up bogus info just to put American cars down.

The Shelby does'nt have a limited slip? Says who? LOL!!!

It looked to me that they were trying like hell to give her a bad name.

1.30 isn't too bad around that track. 1.25 is fast, 1.22 is MOVING out, 1.17 is the track record from the CCX, and .59 from an F1 car.

It did manage to beat the Audi S4, so that isn't too bad.

Autocrossing is reserved mainly for Ricers now isn't it?!? ;-) :poke:

We all know what a GT500 is capable of on a REAL race track! :coolman:

Autocross course? That is hardly an autox course. I think the track they use is a good indicator of true handling performance. It's no secret the Shelby has some shortcomings on a road course due to the weight and soft stock suspension. They find ways to bash on a lot of the cars they test..not just American cars. The only thing I ever really care about on Top Gear is the lap times they turn. The driver obviously pushes them to the limit and it gives us an idea of overall performance stock vs. stock between the cars.

I saw the SRT 10 Viper's time of 128.5 seconds on the list. Not bad but also only 1.5 sec ahead of the GT 500 and slower than the Roush.

That was in the rain, I have the video. I would guess 1:24-1:25 in dry conditions.

No way a Roush could beat a SRT 10 viper in equal conditions.
