So, are you going to field an entry in the championship? Or is this just for shits and giggles at the usual track days?

It’s like the neighborhood kid who had all the cool shit, but shared it, instead of being a d***.

This is literally a vehicle I’ve never heard of.

Pretend I have no idea what 235,000 dollars buys in the turn-key racecar market.... why’d you buy it?

It's a full-blown race car with pretty modest running costs, and it's a front engine which makes it a good counterpart to the other mid-engine track cars we drive. Plus it's a Mustang and it's cool :)

I actually saw a huge enclosed semi unloading one of those down the street from me a couple months ago... Guessing another guy purchased one too. I couldn’t stop staring at it since a yellow mustang racecar looks very out of place, but incredibly awesome on the street. Congrats sir.

I love the GT4 Mustangs, great choice. Not even comparable to the GT350R, the GT4 is WAY out of its league.

@AustinJ427 still waiting for my adoption paperwork in the mail..

But your R was blue...is your latest Mclaren the only car you have that isn’t some shade of yellow?

I've been following these badboys closely via George at MGW's sponsorship of one of Dean Martin's cars. If you can make an IMSA race to see them - do it!

The Roush team running the Mustangs at the IMSA races last year could not have been more inviting. They talked to me about the cars at length--it got to the point I felt bad for taking so much of their time. I have a bunch more pictures on my camera, but here are the pics I posted to flickr to give you more details on what you get for a $235k "Mustang" (it's a fully prepped race car for sure):

Sweet car. Looks badass!

Interesting that that it doesn't use a flatplane crank.

Tob correct me if I'm wrong, but when talking to the team above, they simply stated it doesn't need the FPC to make the power they need. On top of that, I'd assume there is increased running costs with FPC and/or less reliability (thinking about the extra vibrations that come along with the FPC).

Should've kept the R and sold the 302S. Congrats, anyway. Nice ride. Do keep us posted on how it performs on track.
