HP to weight, a 2003-4 Cobra will need at least a 2.3L Whipple and get to 600 HP and equal a 2013-14 stock GT500. Adding in all the new tech dual clutch auto ect for the GT500 and doesn't look good for the Cobra. E85 "may" change things however. These are all at 93 Octane:

I have beaten a few GT500's (stock & modified) in my Whipple cobra. I have also done a fair share of highway pulls in Mexico next to some fast Coyotes as well and these 6R/10R and DCT cars are very hard to compete with but are not unbeatable. Nothing that some HP and seat time can't overcome.
