Which is faster mach 1 or 01 cobra?

I know the Mach 1 Final gear ratio is 3.55, isn't the 99-01 Cobra gear ratio a 3.30 or 3.23?

I think the Mach MAY have a slightly more aggressive cam as well.

the Machs are a couple 10ths quicker than a 99/01 Cobra given the driver mod.

Belive it or not the 99/01 Cobras are a hair lighter than the 03/04 Machs

I loved the 01, but the Mach is very quick. I had the 01 cobra for a little over a year, I'm going on 4 with the Mach it is still my daily driver. I can pull 8.0 to 8.2's all day long (1/8 mile, you have to drive for a 1/4 mile in the south). Both cars are great, but I love the strraight line quickness of the Mach.

Mach 1 since its about 200+lbs lighter and manuals generally run 13.1-13.3's...01cobras run 13.3-13.5 on avg.

the mach 1 is 44 lbs heavier than the 02 mustang gt. and the 01 svt is 35 lbs lighter than the mach 1. this would mean 01 mustang svt is only 9 lbs heavier than the 02 mustang gt.

so the bigger engine, plus the irs only weigh 9 lbs?epper:

let's not forget that the slight "edge" the machs have out of the hole are due to gears as well....even tho it's stock 3.27 (Cobras)vs. stock 3.55 (Machs), that slight difference can account for the .1 or .2 quickness the machs have over cobras. couple that with the solid rear end and yes the machs are quicker in the beginning...then the cobras take over oke:

Then you'd have a Cobra that was still lacking the cams and better flowing heads of a Mach- you'd be half-way there!!!

Not sure how much this would help but, doesn't the mach have 3.55 gearing whereas the cobras only have 3.27...btw from just reading about them i would say the mach is faster stock for stock.
