You say you are ordering a new mount. So I am confused a little. The control arm is what is hitting the axle. Is the shop saying there is a issue with the forward chassis mount as well? Or is the chassis mount causing a geometry issue putting the arm at a bad angle making it hit the housing?

Or did you mean to say upper control arm?

Thanks in advance for the clarification.

I meant control arm .. you cant use the whiteline mount with any other control arm.

SVTP,

We just spoke with Whiteline about this current situation on their UCA. But I have to say, Whiteline is working hard on handling this matter. With their vendor's and customer's.

To better everyone's service and concerns, if you have bought a Whiteline UCA & Mount #KTA141 from BBR, we are asking you to contact us for a RA # so you can send it back to us and we will give you a in-store credit towards the purchase of a upper control arm of your choice.

If you would like, you can also contact Whiteline and send it to them directly.

Please contact us for any questions. 561-417-5555

My car is currently up on a lift getting headers installed, since i saw this post i called my installer to check out my uca, he says yeah my uca is showing signs of stress. I'm not upset, why cause its any easy fix. I'm gonna call a/m order a new mount and have it drop shipped to the shop which is 15 miles from a/m. it will be there 1st thing in the morning and he will install it. I will have my new headers on and my new mount on. Problem solved nothing to cry about.

You know they say women are ruled by their emotions! Some of the emotions displayed in this thread made me a believer!

This has nothing to do with emotions, this is about a part many people have or are buying that is inferior and shouldn't be on any car imo. I'm glad you think that solving the problem is by just replacing it with another one. You seriously need to do some looking around. A steeda has already been posted, go look at the others as well, upr, racecraft, team z, trz, etc...and look at the quality difference .

How long has Whiteline been selling this product? It's weird that you never hear anything bad like this and now everyone checks and they're all bad... How could this have never been noticed? I'd love to know how long whiteline has really known about this issue.

No, I went with steeda because i have a long history with them not because they posted in this thread. I have their heavy duty strut mounts and their springs on my car and they are awesome parts. I have no doubt those others are good to but i'm not familiar with them as much as i am with steeda!

The whiteline rep on here already stated they have reached out to all their vendors and told them to stop all current and future sales of the UCA untill they come up with a plan/solution.

Phone operator probably hadn't heard about it but they went out of stock on the website yesterday, so at least someone at AM is aware of it.

Well, I just got off the phone with American Muscle and they have NOT been contacted regarding the ceasing of sales of the UCA... They had no idea what I was talking about. I forwarded them all the information, including links from this site and my pictures and we'll see what happens.
At this point I have received NO reply from Whiteline via email.

This just posted from whiteline on the gt-500 forum:

Greetings everyone, just got done talking with several dealers including Van@RevanRacing and we apologize for the inconvenience this may have with anyone. The reality is the discrepancies are sporadic - several high HP heavily abused cars were checked ok while others are showing fatigue stress. Could be pinion angle, could be HP related - fact is, we need to overly beefen up the material and ditch weight as a factor. Costs is not an issue - we simply need to overly build this part. I promise you a much more robust stronger product.

Van was kind enough to talk to us his experience and inputs. All bickering aside the conversation was very professional and we both expressed each others points and I can confidently say I respect Van and his firm opinions. At the end of the day whether you carry our product or not we want your inputs and any assistance to deliver stronger, better, more evolved product to our customers. Thank you Van and to all those who have contributed to helping us through this experience.

The important thing right now is for us to work with our dealers to ensure consumers are taken care of. Please email [email protected] if you have concerns. I apologize if there are questions I have left unanswered; we simply are more focused on more pressing matters at the moment but over the course of our vendorship we look forward to getting to know the SVTPerformance.com community better and answering all questions regarding our operations.

Thank you for your patience and understanding - this has definitely been a humbling experience.

I'm looking at both threads started, here and the gt-500 ...whiteline sent an email to a guy and he posted it on the other thread. Whiteline wants to take 10 business days to build and test a new arm and send us out a new arm. I don't want a new arm , i have 1 on the way , i'd like to get a refund and send the old arm back. I think that's fair ...What do you guys think?
