I was hoping for 900
I believe- or atleast read that Mr Lund worked with Ford when they were tuning the engine. If that is true- ill believe if he says 850rwhp is safe, It's safe.
Yes I do
Sounds like you think I am a beginer at this ....
Guess again
Sorry but 850 was not safe on the 5.4 and is not with the 5.8
You guys believe 850 is safe go right ahead and try it.
Just make sure you have a spare motor to replace it ...because it will not last for too long
LOL..you are mistaken Chris.... No way Lund worked with Ford on tuning the 13' or any other GT500 for that matter....
No way the stock rods are safe at 850rwhp either. That's about 975 at the flywheel plus remember the blower takes at least 100hp to turn it so the engine is actually making about 1100hp to yield 850 at the wheels. Those stock rods won't live long at that level.

I realized before I blocked him that he is often mistaken on things. 850 rwhp may be possible but I will let him try it on his motor , and be the guinea pig since he is so confident.
I think we have to more clearly define the word "safe", or else this will be an endless debate. It is a highly subjective term, that can be interpreted many different ways. Safe to you, may not mean safe to me.
Do you beat on your call all the time?
Are you bangin off the rev limiter all the time?
Do you have a dyno queen that sees a few pulls every now and then?
Do you drag race?
Do you road race?
What is your expected useful life out of the car?
and on and on............
In your opinion would you do WOT 60-160 rolls in a 850 rwhp 2013 GT500 back to back to back?
On race gas I would if I was a shop pushing the envelope for whatever reason...
The only thing important to me is what I can do power wise using 91/93 octane while I beat the car on the street. I'm guessing a full bolt on car with a 15% lower will be close to it if you want to stay safe and use street fuel.

Other than the allowance for the added displacement I think that the limits are exactly what the 5.4 Condor's limits are.

I have the ability drive fast but easy. No slicks or 2-step but driving it out, I ran 800rwhp around 110 passes and too many street races to count, 850rwhp seems like it would not be a stretch. Others with less expirence may have different results.Yes I do
