If you ever get a chance to accurately weight the 04 chrome rims alone I would be thankful. I have seen a pretty good variance in the reported weights of the 17X9 chrome rim.
Yeah, I weighed two of them w/ 50% worn F1's and they both came out to 49.8 lbs. I have an unmounted F1 that I can weigh, but the often posted weight of the OEM chromies is 26 lbs.

I just bought a new rear seat delete kit from MMR that I need to weigh......But shipping weight said 11 lbs :nono: Too much.....May have to run the "cardboard" kit at the track.

Like Dwight (IronTerp) said, weight reduction isn't for everyone, but the weekend warriors most certainly are concerned on average with removing any weight possible. Most who race and use their Cobras daily would probably want to find a good balance between weight reduction and daily comfort. JMO.

That's what I've done. Some weight reduction without sacrificing to much comfort. I wish I had 2 so I could gut the crap out of one and keep the other nice. No compromising that way.

Luckily for me she's very understanding, but yeah, I don't think she would like sitting on the floorboard. She doesn't mind the corbeau forza II's too much though.

Here is an example. I reduced front rotating mass almost 13.5# for the GT500 with these rotors:

gt500rotornowheelbq9.jpg

Rotors have aluminum hats. The weight savings for the 13" SN-95 2-pc rotors are not quite as much as these unfortunately. You can do it on the rears as well:

Front SN-95 14" 2-pc rotor on left and SN-95 rear 2-pc rotor on the right.

FWIW

 :coolman:

Are they TCE rotors?

I'm sure Dwight (Iron Terp) will chime in again on this as he has done some more weight reduction since he last updated this thread.....

Or just contact Dwight by PM. He is a bit of a weight wizard and can probably give you the advice you're looking for.

Very nice list SIr RicCuS! The only thing I would suggest is possibly a light weight battery. Getting a respectable 60' time will really help reduce ET and improving your Terminator's ability to transfer weight from front to back is a huge help here. Light weight battery, front skinny setup, and removal of front sway bar, in conjunction with properly adjusted struts and shocks, can do wonders.

Here's my 08' setup which puts me at a race weight of 3,652 lbs.

03/04' WEIGHT REDUCTION
Spare tire...................................-26.4 lbs
Jack/crow bar..............................-6.6 lbs
Trunk pad...................................-6.0 lbs!
Mott bar (under diff).....................-7.8 lbs
Front sway bar/brackets................-12.4 lbs
Rear seat bottom.........................-11.0 lbs
Rear seat back.............................-25.6 lbs
Rear seat head rest.......................-5.6 lbs
MAC LT's w/ OR Prochamber...........-10.0 lbs (stock mid pipe/manifolds=52.8, MAC LT's/Prochamber =42.8)
Odyssey battery/bracket................-22.2 lbs (stocker=37.6, Odyssey=15.4)
Front 15x3.5" Bogarts/ET Front........-53.2 lbs (OEM Chrome w/ F1's=49.8 each, Skinny setup=23.2 each)
Rear 16x10" Bogarts/Hoosier FS.......-26.8 lbs (OEM Chrome w/ F1's=49.8 each, Rear setup=36.4 each)
UPR K member kit..........................-65.0 lbs
Front Passenger Seat......................-43.0 lbs

Total......................................-321.6 lbs!!!

That's great! I actually already ordered my set of MAC Long Tube Headers with the Off Road Prochamber! That's a hell of a coincidence! I'm getting a hell of a deal on them too. $500 for them both brand new; and they're the better ones as well.

What kind of light weight battery? Do you think that a battery relocation kit with the existing battery (Bosch) would be sufficient for weight transfer?

Any any idea of how much the coilover's weigh opposed to the stock setup?

Thanks!

EDIT: I've updated my initial post with the LT's/Prochamber exhaust setup.

Battery relocation to the trunk does not help with weight savings, but the improved weight transfer affect is probably even more beneficial than the weight loss, especially with a solid rear axle.

I use the Odyssey PC680 and the MACA recently did a group buy for 10 of these and got a heckuva nice discount.

http://www.portablepower.com/items/batteries/SLA/1/Hawker Odyssey/PC680/0769-2016/SL105/37L105S5

The UPR K member kit with tubular A arms and coilovers will save you 65 lbs off of the front end. I'm not excatly sure of the coilover wight loss specifically as most folks do the whole kit.

Great deal on the headers!!! They weigh a bit more than the stock manifolds, but this is a mod I feel VERY strongly about, even with Eaton power!
