Im running out of things to do to pull wieght from my car and its a prob cuz I keep having to add more to mine. (Roll Cage)
Yeah, I weighed two of them w/ 50% worn F1's and they both came out to 49.8 lbs. I have an unmounted F1 that I can weigh, but the often posted weight of the OEM chromies is 26 lbs.SVTkel said:If you ever get a chance to accurately weight the 04 chrome rims alone I would be thankful. I have seen a pretty good variance in the reported weights of the 17X9 chrome rim.
IronTerp said:I just bought a new rear seat delete kit from MMR that I need to weigh......But shipping weight said 11 lbs :nono: Too much.....May have to run the "cardboard" kit at the track.
If I remember correctly it was about 15lbs. The new steering wheel I used was a couple pounds lighter too.lucheski said:Hey F8L, how much is the airbag delete worth?
That's what I've done. Some weight reduction without sacrificing to much comfort. I wish I had 2 so I could gut the crap out of one and keep the other nice. No compromising that way.CobraBob said:Like Dwight (IronTerp) said, weight reduction isn't for everyone, but the weekend warriors most certainly are concerned on average with removing any weight possible. Most who race and use their Cobras daily would probably want to find a good balance between weight reduction and daily comfort. JMO.

Luckily for me she's very understanding, but yeah, I don't think she would like sitting on the floorboard. She doesn't mind the corbeau forza II's too much though.CobraBob said:I hear ya. And.....your wife/girlfriend might not appreciate sitting on the floor board. LOL!
ac427cobra said:Here is an example. I reduced front rotating mass almost 13.5# for the GT500 with these rotors:
Rotors have aluminum hats. The weight savings for the 13" SN-95 2-pc rotors are not quite as much as these unfortunately. You can do it on the rears as well:
Front SN-95 14" 2-pc rotor on left and SN-95 rear 2-pc rotor on the right.
FWIW

What's the difference?
Very nice list SIr RicCuS! The only thing I would suggest is possibly a light weight battery. Getting a respectable 60' time will really help reduce ET and improving your Terminator's ability to transfer weight from front to back is a huge help here. Light weight battery, front skinny setup, and removal of front sway bar, in conjunction with properly adjusted struts and shocks, can do wonders.
Here's my 08' setup which puts me at a race weight of 3,652 lbs.
