SVTP recently traveled to Bowling Green, KY for the 2013 edition of the NMRA World Finals. This year's race, though plagued by rain delays, proved to be one of the most exciting yet; particularly in the 5.0 Shootout Race. SVTP Vendors Evolution Performance and JPC Racing swapped the “Fastest Street-Driven Coyote” record back and forth, ultimately ending with Evolution's Nelson Whitlock winning the shootout and a test run in which JPC setting the record at 8.026 @ 170.08 MPH. There's was even a massive thread about the record breaking runs containing live coverage of the event:

Below you will find our photo and video coverage of NMRA Bowling Green 2013. However, we have so many photos that we are unable to post them on a single page. As we have done with other articles like this in the past, we'll be posting a new batch of pics on every new page until we exhaust our supply. So leave a comment and help get us to a new page, where we will post more pics.

It says record breaking runs but what record did they break?? The MMR coyote has run over 1 second faster with a 7.02 @ 202.5

“Fastest Street-Driven Coyote”

We are not sure who ever started this rumor but to clarify the MMR car is 100% streetable, we think people assumed this because one of the many blocks we tested was filled, but this does not mean it is not streetable, coolant was still circulated through the heads and a external oil cooler was used in place of coolant in the block and the car was routinely driven on the streets. But again, the MMR car is streetable for the record. We can post some videos of it street driving if you like LOL!

We had an absolute blast out there. Thanks to everybody for the hospitality. We will be back next year and hopefully with more cars/people making the trek out with us. Expect both cars to be quite a bit faster this time next year ;-)

JPC's car drove 450 miles to Mustang Week in July. It's licensed, insured, runs a 275 DR, has a stock'ish interior, and weighs over 3,400 pounds. The MMR car is definitely fast, but being "streetable" and being a "street-car" are two very different things.
