They need to put magazine tester guards up at the strip, when they test high powered cars. You know, like the ones they put up at the bowling alley, when kids bowl.

That way, they can bounce between the guards without hurting themselves or the car.

I DROVE one today at costco, at first I saw it on the street, had to do a double take and just figured someone bought some 2013 head/tails for the car, but it was DIB.. It had long passed me so I just kept going and didn't think about it, just went to costco and got to shopping. Well as I was loading the stuff into my trunk, I turned around and saw it parked about 10 spaces away and the driver was getting out. As he walked towards the store I asked him if that was an actual 2013 gt500, and it was! He invited me over to check it out and insisted that I drive it around the parking lot, I wasn't about to tear around an extremely busy parking lot in a 660hp unreleased car, but I tried lol. I was expecting a similar throttle responce and gearing, but it was definatly geared completely different. Awesome car though, the driver worked for ford in the finance department.

Hahaha I kinda feel the same but I dont like the side stripes. Maybe just get over the top stripes afterwards. Either way the DIB is awesome :rockon: I miss my Sonic Blue.

I think the issue on the GT500 is the wheels being so dark, I think the black OTT stripes pull it together a little.

I think I am changing my color from white after seeing these last set of pics. The race red with black stripes looks really nice, and I'm really liking the grabber blue. Although I would probably go with black stripes instead of white.

I was thinking the same thing, Grabber Blue with Black Stripes in the coupe.

Man, I want to see what this looks like. I think the black stripes would offset the black wheels.

Been lurking since the '13 was announced and am aiming to get either a '13 or '14 GT500 when better deals can be had. I'm so excited for this car and have paid my dues having driven my S4 for almost 12 years now since I bought it new. My car's so old, my wife even wants me to get the Shelby!

Why - well, how about because the ZL1 was made to be the GT500's direct competitor.
How about because GM and Al O. had to send out letters saying how the ZL1 would destroy the GT500?

This! All, Scotty, and the boobs over on Camaro5 just learned a valuable lesson about writing checks they cannot cash. Zl1 is a entire class below the GT500. Keep testing it vs. the Boss... :whine:

I think some of the color combos will look great with the OTT stripes removed and the rocker stripes left alone.

Yes, MM&FF ran 11.81/124.8 in a totally heat-soaked GT500 at 78 degrees ambient temp and on a okay track.

Let me promise y'all something about Atlanta Dragway. That track is usually always .3+ tenths slower and i personally have been down 4 MPH in a mid 10 second car. That track is the second slowest I've ever been too. No way could anyone set best times there over most other tracks. Always a head wind and there is an elevation increase. A 11.8 would be easily a 11.5 at most tracks....
