after an alignment and a bit of driving i have more info. Got alignment and hit the interstate for a few miles. None of this seems to apply to city streets oddly.

Some harshness is felt, which is to be expected honestly. I got rid of rubber and replaced it with metal--so duh ha! doing 80 brings about road noise

Bigger more, for a lack of better words, swooping bumps the car feels like a lowered car, as it turns out it is. Where the stock suspension soaks up the drawn out bumps with ease the BC has a pronounced single bounce.

Sharper more hard hitting bumps (joints in bridges for example) no difference just a thud and you're on your way.

I put the coilovers to full soft and it helped a bit. My daughter was with me and I asked her how it felt and what she thought--she said watching my movie dad. So that is a thumbs up she didn't even notice the bumps. Again city and interstate changes things city its tame feels stock--interstate everything changes but its a liveable change

All in all a good mod--car is more responsive and looks better even if I traded some ride comfort. However I knew what i was trading so not a biggie
What about highways/roads w/ expansion joints, does it feel like its shaking you in your seat.

I've had BC racing on my car for almost a year now. on my normal setting the ride is not harsh at all for DD. When I want to play up on the mountains I just turn up the stiffness on all four corners and the car really handles on rails. however the more stiff you make it the harsher the ride is. At my current setting most people compliment the ride and it feels like an European sports touring car, planted to the ground. I just need to raise the rear up more sooner or later for more clearance for my big rear tires. I hope this helps man:rockon:

glad to hear your happy with them. thing must feel 200 times better going around corners aggressively.

Interstate is highway homie. Expansion joints would be the "sharp" bumps i spoke of. It doesn't feel bad. The only bumps that show my car is lowered is the wider more gradual bumps.

no I did a lot of research before hand and talk to people that owned the kit as well. So I go the spring rates 1k less front and rear. Really happy with my decision.

in for answer on 6k and 4k

I'm pretty sure that is what he means. Really it comes to driver preference, I will give up a bit of comfort for a car to respond like I want. As i said though city streets the car feels almost stock--interstate (highway) no so much

As a bonus I am also found on other cars that with stiffer springs will also eliminate the need to add aftermarket sway bars--so another plus

My car is not a daily but I do take it on trips sometimes.

I want something more then a minor lowering spring. The only two springs I would consider would be the lowest that eibach offers or the h&r that are even lower then that. I hate wheelwell gap. So I look at buying the shocks and springs and camber plates and for not much more cash I can get my car to sit exactly how I want it to sit using coilovers.

To each his own, I understand the aesthetic issue. I, in general, am not a big fan of slammed suspensions whether springs or coilover because they don't work very well on the street. In fact, they work horribly. I solved the wheel gap issue somewhat by going with Michelin SuperSport 285/40/19 in the back . Got that fat muscle car look now. Not much of a wheel gap. Boss rear springs are a smidgen shorter to boot. Front springs are about a half inch shorter than stock.

^see all driver preference. So if I read right you have 6&4k

Yes that is what I got. the ride is very comfortable. not more floating feeling. no nose dive while braking, no front end rise when accelerating hard, and I feel no need to change my sway bars car handles on rails as is. honestly I would recommend anyone that goes with the BC coilover to go 1k less on front and back spring rate compare to standard spring. everyone that didn't told me they wish they did. I have had multiple people ride in my car and they all love how my car rides. You know the ride is not harsh when I have had many different girls ride in my car and they have never complained that the ride was harsh at all. I hope this helps you guys:burnout:

Awesome setup man. Glad it rides smooth. Thats what im loooking for.

A quick question here to all that have installed coilovers. Did you have to install front adjustable end links? I know turka did. But he is the only one to say he had to.

The BC Racing kit comes with new ones already. I think that's part of the reason why my coils never went into production

Thanks Turka... How long you think these would last compared to KW's or just a good Strut/shock spring combo?

Depends on what you plan on doing with em. But I'd say they take about 2-3 years of track abuse mixed with daily driving from what I've seen. KW's I'd hope would last a lot more but I have not been able to find any info on their longevity since most people that can even afford a set of KW's usually can afford to switch cars up fairly quickly also lol

A strut and shock combo is a whole other type of suspension with no where near the adjustability of a coilover setup but I'd imagine they would also last 2-3 years.
