Dude watch a couple of his videos, his car is very fast for whats done to it. Just like we've been saying, there is plently of people on his board hes ran. Its not the fastest car out there no. But for whats done to it it'll spank almost any car mod for mod and then some. C6Z and a ZR-1 are different of course!

I believe you. He posts like his car runs 10's or something. Tired of reading him bashing Mustangs like his car is untouchable.

Really I don't care anymore about his "Miami stock" c5 Z06...

Thanks for the info.

Its cuz you have that damn sneaky pete in your Z dont lie anymore lol

Ha ha.... the only sneaky pete I have in my Z is the one eyed trouser snake that I carry in my pants when Im driving it.

cool beans brother, when are you coming to this neck of "little cuba"?
i have a pair of alligator skin shoes waiting for ya :-D

At the latest I should be there by the end of the year again... cant wait for the cold weather..

Aligator shoes ftmw :lol1: :rockon:

Already showed you where you spelled moronic wrong in my first post..Don't need to show it again...

In other words, I intentionally did it that way the second time and showed your double post FTL.

Whatever dude..tired of your smack talk about how fast your car is and come

to find out you have a mildly modded c5 Z06??

Not sure who sold you that a C5 z06 was the fastest thing going but you bought it lock, stock and barrel.

Buy a c6 Z06 and ZR-1 and I will give you some major props.

CAM and Blow the C5 and definately give you some respect, but C5 Z06's are not that impressive, expensive, or fast as you seem to think they are..especially with simple bolt-ons?

That is all for now

Ok guy, you got me. I mispelled a word in my hurry to respond and had a double post. Oh what shall I do, the humanity!!!! :rollseyes

Tired of what smack talk? When have I ever said that my Z is the fastest thing out there chief?
Actually Im a pretty down to earth when it comes to my car,
I have never bragged, just stated the fact that my car runs very well for what it has in mods and anyone that has run me in the past can attest to that.

I dont need you to give me any props or respect, I dont know you and consequently I wouldnt piss on you if you were on fire....

And just to squash any doubts as to my "shit talking",
here is evidence of how well the car runs for its minimal mods since your too lazy to research before you feel like "shit talking" to me.

5.4 4v supersnake = 725hp = stock KING!!!!!!!
LS9 = 638HP
LSA = 559HP
5.4 4V(2011GT500) = 550HP
LS7 = 505HP
6.2 BOSS = 500HP
5.0 BOSS 302 = 440HP
LS3 = 426HP/436HP VETTE
BOSS 315 5.4 4V = 422HP
5.0 COYOTE = 412HP
6.2 TRUCK = 411HP
LS6 = 405HP
LS2 = 400HP
LS1 = 350HP
4.6 4V = 320HP
4.6 3V = 315HP
5.4 3V 310HP
4.6 2V = 260HP

BY THE NUMBERS...... Smeagol

the ls3 comment about being faster is crap too.

in 1st gear at 5000rpm drop the two motors will rev throught the rpm range, where the LS3 has an advantage.

2nd
3rd
4th
5th........if i shift the coyote in its rpm bad at 7200 it NEVER drops out of maximum kilowatts. in other words both engines are making the same hp at the wheels. the LS3's 20 percent low end advantage lasts for 3 seconds, then means nothing.

Dyno numbers and bench racing are BS.

The supershake may make more power STOCK, but theres more to a car than the engine itself.

Thanks for the laugh man. :beer:

He said he trapped in the 119-120mph range. Thats right on point for a bolt-on C5Z.

Well to be honest , i test drove the 5.0 about a week ago and was not impressed at all. Being i have a 5.0 95 gt thats blown, i would still take mine over that anyday. Coming from having to blown cars the 5.0 just didnt do it for me at all. after driving it i was like wow all the hipe and such a big let down. Just my two cents.NOTHING BEATS BEING BLOWN , LOL.

Thank you.

fast z roll races are cool... whats it run at the track?

I only went to the track once and it went pretty crappy as I only made 2 passes in which I let off/got on the brakes way before the finish line due to not being able to see shit. If I remember correctly one was 13.3 @ 103 and the other one was 13 @ 113 I think.

He said he trapped in the 119-120mph range. Thats right on point for a bolt-on C5Z.

You might have missunderstood me a little :thumbsup:

What I said was that my car should be in the 119-120 range, but that is guesstimating based on the caliber of cars that I have run that have actually been to the track and got actual #s.... It might even be a little higher.
I was looking at the C5Z fast list and my car seems to be pretty up there in the trap department, so I would say that its a little above the average Z.

Why type of intake setup is that on your car?

Halltech...

Dude :beer:

...again a 396 rwhp C5Z shouldnt be able to yank a ported cobra like that ...Would you agree ? So really your car is not "average" like the rest.

I had a 04 C5Z Z16 with 3.90 gears, Lt's , halltech intake and it was tunned. Buddies ported Cobra would still get me everytime.. he has 511 rwhp .....Anyway again not calling you out at all cause your car ran hard everytime..Ya ran what ya brung :beer:

I completely agree, It should be a drivers race with a properly set up Pullied Cobra and supporting mods and actually with the edge going to the cobra. That is the norm anyway.

But the Ported Cobra wasnt the only victim, the whipple guy was also scratching his head because he figured he would do a lot better. Also the couple of Cammed, intake and Full exhaust c5z's that I beat where like "WTF man?" Or the LS2 with the same mods as me that got destroyed. I have actually beat a stock C6Z before, stayed within a car lenght and a half of 2 other ones that has intake and even beat 2 new 600cc bikes.... The list goes on....

Im not trying to toot my own horn just stating facts (most of them are on video anyway)...

I have been really thinking about doing 4.10s to my car to really wake it up, how was your experience with your 3.90s and at what speed did you run out of gear on the top of 4th?

Was your car bought new or used? IMO, there is no such thing as a "Freak" car. You either have something on your car you don't know about, if bought used or You just happen to come across a handful of shitty drivers or you're just a good driver.

If the car was bought used, start inspecting before putting mods on. One of my buddies bought a used '00 Camaro SS that was supposedly stock. The car ran damn strong and pulled away from similar modded SS's. He didn't know what he knew until he put his cam in and drove 10ft and BOOM!, He windowed the block. After the car was pulled apart, thinking he had a STOCK LS1 with LS1 parts, he found that he had an LS6 intake, LS6 cam and milled 59cc "241" heads.

At 80mph, what rpm are you cruising at?

Really? So I guess there is no such thing as lemons either.... :shrug:

The fact is I didnt just get the car yesterday man, I know my car in and out.
I bought my car with 20k miles on it from a current buddy of mine. He was the one that did the performance mods to the car, so I know what exactly is done to my car....

Im not sure but in 6th gear is below 2k rpms if I remember correctly

Zyborg your car runs hard, and I believe you when you say what you got done. I don't think your car is a "freak" I think it just runs the way it should and you got the driver mod.

As for your races with those Cobras, there are a lot of factors. First of all the heat, not sure if you guys are racing in like 90 degree heat but a Cobra will get heat soaked FAST after back to back runs. Second is the driver, and 3rd is the running condition of the Cobra. Stock clutch? Supporting mods? Cooling mods?

I've raced a full bolt-on / G5X3 03 Z06 and we were nearly dead nuts even.. He was making 43Xrwhp.

I raced an intake / catback Z06 and it wasn't even close. :shrug: I pulled at least 4 cars and I've raced and talk to the guy several times. I got a ported blower, full exhaust, cooling mods, clutch, etc..

It looked a lot like this

[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXMEM48Ohkw"]YouTube- 03' cobra vs 04' z06[/nomedia]

Anyways, back to the ORIGINAL TOPIC OF THIS THREAD.

That's true if you consider a stock 03-04 Cobra was underrated plus if I'm it's lighter than a 2011 GT IMO. If I'm not mistaken it's been recorded that a stock 03-04 has made it's rated horsepower to the wheels. The more common rwhp rating for an 03-04 Cobra is about 360rwhp and I believe that's just about 425fwhp.

I disagree man. The 2011 GT is actually lighter than an 03-04 Cobra. Anywhere from 3550lbs to 3600lbs for a coupe.

Second, while 03-04 Cobras can be underrated the new GT is rated higher, (22hp more at the crank). The new GTs dyno anywhere from 370rwhp+ stock with 93 octane. That's on par with an 03-04 Cobra.

Other advantages include, no factory plastic quadrant, easier to shit, less prone to heatsoak and better gearing with the 3.73 option.

Our Cobras have some advantages as well, way more power under the curve, more torque and better aerodynamics. However, aerodynamics only make a difference at very high speeds, at lower speeds they do not play a significant role, (and by lower speeds I mean >140mph).

Regardless of which is faster, I don't think it should be a slaughter either way. Both have run nearly identical 1/4 mile times.
