I'm tired of dealing with the Ford "quick" disconnects and I have to drop my tank, again.
Is there anyone that makes just a kit with two hose lines with ends on them to replace the stock fuel likes. With or without the quick disconnect adapters, those are generally available.
In my '97 Cobra when coasting in third gear, on a flat or downhill, it has a tendency to pop out of gear into neutral. It doesn't always do it but it's not uncommon.
Ideas on cause? If it's not a sign of anything serious I'm not going to worry about it for now.
So I've developed an issue where it only idles when cold. As it warms up it straight dies unless I use the throttle pedal a little bit. It doesn't even try to idle. I've tried multiple IACs. There's no vacuum leaks that I can find. I was going to hook up a vacuum gauge and when I removed a line...
On my '97 I can't seem to keep the water full. But, it never really gets that low. Just low enough for the light to come on. Probably a few inches down from the line where you fill it up. Never gets worryingly low. I haven't seen any leaks. I think it is running a little warm because of this...
I have lowered my Cobra about 1 1/4" and installed Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates. I'm going to get it aligned next week. Should I do anything other than stock specs? I've heard it's good to add a little positive caster.
My '97 has 214,000 miles on it now. I know it's a tighter clearance engine, but at this point should I start using 10w30 instead of the 5w30 that I have been?
The motor in my '97 Cobra is getting a little tired so when I found a complete engine for $350 with "a rod knock" I bought it to rebuild
Already removed intake, valve covers, harnesses, and accessories
Making progress
Not bad
Still not bad
Good cross hatch still

So my fuel pump had been getting loud for a couple months. It would only do it at idle and when warm, so it really only happened when sitting at an intersection. While it was loud, if I barely touched the gas pedal to cause any rpm increase, it would go back to normal. I figured this was just...
I'm getting ready to put some poly motor mounts in and for the life of my I can't find any 96-98 Cobra poly transmission mounts. In looking around it seems I can use 94/95 transmission mounts. Is this correct? I'm not sure if it's the auto or manual ones I should use.
My '97 has just over 200,000 miles on it now and it's gone some noises. There's a tick that's fairly loud until it warms up. It mostly goes away when it's warm and sometimes it will go away entirely. There's also just general mechanical noise that's pretty loud. I'm thinking timing chain guides...
130,xxx miles. Red, black cloth interior.
Could possibly be repaired by someone with the right skills. Insurance totaled it due to the air bags going off. Was hit in left front. Doors still open and shut fine. Available as whole car only.
All stock except CAI, JBA Headers and BBK cat-less...
Hey everyone. I just picked up a '97 that I knew had a couple of minor issues when I bought it. Anyway, what's going on is that it has a stumble/bog/hesitation at below 3,500 rpm. If I only give it a little gas, it's fine, but too much and it starts bucking. Above about 3,500 it runs great. It's...
