It was a madhouse at the gun store today.

It was packed with a constant flow of people coming and going. The salesmen were apologizing about the wait and commented on how busy it has been recently (gee, I wonder why).

I bought a Kimber Stainless Pro Carry II in .45ACP. They didn't have it in stock and while the owner was taking my order the phone rang. An employee picked up the phone and told the owner it was for him. The owner said was helping me and asked if it was important. The guy said it was the TV news and they said they had heard a rumor that gun sales were through the roof and wanted to ask him if it was true, LOL. The owner went into the back room for a minute or two and spoke w/the news people and when he came back he confided in me that he said business had just slightly picked up. I looked over my shoulder at the wall to wall people and chuckled and he just smiled and took my order.

So, it isn't just the SVTP gun nuts who feel draconian laws are ready to sweep in like a tidal wave to deny liberty. Even the law abiding citizens of the San Francisco Bay area know the storm is coming fast.

That is the trend a little before and after an election and I also know a few people who went hunting this weekend so are gun shop owners the only winners(taking advantage of all the hype)?

Gun sales have been doing well for the last few months. The gun industry is one of the few industries that has been doing well through the recession.

Where as it isn't gonna be as drastic or as fast as people think it is I bought a nice Remington 870 police edition to go along with my Cavalry Arms AR15 and 9mm Glock. I planned to get a good shotgun anyhow. Still waiting for someone to break in:bored:-Shane

I had someone break into my house before. They threw a huge brick through my window and almost got away with a lot of stuff. It is not something you want to experience. Luckily my Wife was at work, as was I. I was told it was 3 guys. My useless neighbor just went the other way and mentioned to the handyman as she passed him on the stairwell that some guys were throwing stuff out of my window. He asked her if she called the police and she said no. :bash: The handyman called the cops. The guys left the scene and as far as I know were never caught.

I have an 870 with a 20" barrel and an extended tube magazine. Love it.

Obama is going to reduce our dependence on foreign oil by banning cars with mileage less than 35MPG, but he needs to take away people's guns first so they can't resist when the Feds come to take their cars!?!?!

wish I would have copied the link but the other day the little news clips when you get on yahoo said that since obama got elected it has caused a gun buying freenzy. wish I had the cash to pick up a couple of firearms. been meaning to buy a pistol for a long time. then eventually shotgun and probably ar-15.

Guns America typically has horrible prices. The last week Gun Broker's average prices have shot up too. I'll stick with vendors that haven't raised their prices even though supply has decreased and demand has drastically increased.
