God forbid you have to wait a whole extra 24hrs to play a game. Torrents is generally the best preorder you can get for games and movies, LOL.

I'm a game collector. I like to actually have the game.

I have 400+ videogames. Always picking up new ones every week.

I have Forza 4 and Gunstringer preordered. I realize Gunstringer isn't exactly a big title but after playing the demo I'm excited to try it.

95%+ of my gaming within the last 5 years has been the Forza series, so I'm looking forward to 4. It's finally getting another one of my previous cars... Lexus sc300.

I'm looking forward to forza4 as well. I just wish instead of the 1978 king cobra, they had a 2003/4 cobra but maybe they have both. I'm hoping for both but only time will tell

For anyone who is into games, the most epic games are coming out from now until November. next week Dead Island will be hitting the shelves. After that, Gears 3, Battlefield 3, Batman Arkham City, and MW3. I'm a 360 guy, so those are the only games I keep up with. If you end up picking any of these bad boys up, add me to your friends list. HernSmash. And yes, I know there is a gamertag thread, but 5+ pages, you get lost in there.

Forza 4, Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3 and Borderlands 2.

Too bad I'll have to wait till next summer to play them. Deployments can be extremely inconvenient.

So If I buy BF3 for PC and Forza4 and MW3 for XBOX what will that make me?
A pimply faced jock or a popped collar nerd? :??:

a c-c-c-c-combo breaking nerd.

To be honest with you MW3 looks like MW2 with new maps. No more nukes :(

Im looking fwd to BF3 and Uncharted 3.

And gaming on a PC would be sweet if your computer didnt become outdated every 6 months.

Does he think we care about being "real" video gamers?

I'm going to be broke all Fall it seems. Gears 3, BF3, MW3, Resistance 3, Unchartered 3, FM4.

the last thing i want is for anyone to think im a "gamer" lol. gotta keep that shiz on the down low like a coke habit :lol1:

i tried gaming on PC a few times. seems like every damn time id get a game my pc was WAY inadequate. F all that. i just want to be able to pop in a game and veg for an hour or so. im glad i dont have to dismantle the xbox and upgrade every single part of it for each new game that comes out.

and i could never get into using the keyboard and mouse, especially for FPS. ugh. i dont know how people do it. definitely not for me.

but all the back and forth hate is funny. Xbox vs PS3 vs PC. its like all out war in all directions. although, i bet more people do xbox AND ps3 than do people PC and console. so its kind of like xbox and PS3 vs PC, then they fight each other afterwards lol. kind of like the old Soviet Union chaos :D

looking forward to:

MW3
BF3
GOW3
Forza 4

didnt know there was a new Batman game coming out. sweet! arkham aslyum was an absolutely incredible game! :dancenana:

I'm with you, PC games are leaps and bounds above console (and will be for the foresable future).

Only graphically speaking. And I realized uber awesome graphics cant help a shitty game. You can polish a turd and in the end its still a turd.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL, ramblings from a bro who doesn't know any better. I ignored the rest of your natty ice-fueled post and decided to just sit back and laugh at this sentence. Though for a bro, you seem to know a lot of terminology of the nerds.

lol your name precedes you, been around much? Im an ex-pc gamer, and up until recently I used to be the one on this site that talked down on consoles. Then I picked one up and aside from downloading games to try them out before buying them on console, my gaming rig plays pretty much nothing but older titles (DiRT, GRiD, and Tie Fighter to name a few, and yes, Ive gotten Tie Fighter Collectors CDROM to work in Win7, with a 360 controller mapped out to it = winning). Console multiplayer > PC multiplayer by like, a ****tonne. No finding servers filled with hackers, just log in and play against anyone.

If PC gaming isnt dying, tell me why most of the most popular devs are straying away from creating a PC version? I really wanted the damn Nascar: The Game to come to PC, but nope, the developer stated they had no intent to ever build a game thats easily pirated/hacked, why waste money and get little profits?

If PC gaming isnt dying, tell me why Best Buy puts all the console games in the MIDDLE of the freaking store with 3-4 aisles devoted, while all the PC games are in the back corner with half a shelf......

If PC gaming isnt dying, tell me why all the titles that do have support on all 3 major platforms (360, PS3, PC) devote their attention to the consoles first, then kinda half-ass make a PC version?

Its because theres jack shit in profits in PC gaming as compared to console gaming, and with the ease of piracy its only getting worse for dev's to justify a PC version.

Not saying I agree with it, id love to go back to PC gaming, but the only pro being graphics isnt enough to justify spending $1k on a rig to play the same games with no multiplayer (****ing hacked .exe's are pita to get to work properly with mutiplayer), and I started feeling like a 16yo ubernerd lugging my case and monitor around to 8-10 people LAN parties fueled with virgins (both young and old) trying to fit into some scene fueled by Bawls and the latest ThinkGeek paraphernalia. Just about as uncool as they get. Why do all that work when I can go from having sexeh time with the GF to jumping online into a 16 person epic groundwar having to lug around no case and still chilling in my boxers with wang halfway draped out from the comfort of my own living room?

I apologize of the text wall.

Only graphically speaking. And I realized uber awesome graphics cant help a shitty game. You can polish a turd and in the end its still a turd.

PC gaming is far and above console for many more reasons than just graphics (such as modding, multi-tasking, controls, support, etc). That said, you're 100% right about graphics can't make a bad game good, though people still buy games now-a-days for the purtty colors (both console and PC).

lol your name precedes you, been around much? Im an ex-pc gamer, and up until recently I used to be the one on this site that talked down on consoles. Then I picked one up and aside from downloading games to try them out before buying them on console, my gaming rig plays pretty much nothing but older titles (DiRT, GRiD, and Tie Fighter to name a few, and yes, Ive gotten Tie Fighter Collectors CDROM to work in Win7, with a 360 controller mapped out to it = winning). I like your sig pic, is it yours? I understand the hacking complaint, but you make it sound like that's all that exists out there. I play a wide variety of games and have absolutely no problem with hackers. Oh, and you should know damn well hacking exists for console (actually watching the bros rage over console because of hacks is HILARIOUS! I don't condone it, but it's one of those things you have to see at least once kinda thing). Fact is I can play anything on PC, the reverse isn't true. This is another issue that comes down to the casual/thoughtless approach to gaming (which I'm not saying should necessarily be condemned). With most PC games, like console, I can hit one button and it'll find a server and set me up, etc. However, I also have a complete server list to browse through and can create my own, etc. Hacking doesn't happen as much as you think it does, and when it does it's an easy fix (/voteban, switch server, report......turn your own hacks on?). As a side note, I don't hack in games (though I have tried a variety hacks in various games for the sake of experience) but know others that do and who used to, so it's not like I'm being naive about the whole thing.

Because there is a lot of money to be made by catering to the computer illiterate and elderly. Most popular devs? Loaded question there. List them, and we'll go from there.

If PC gaming isnt dying, tell me why Best Buy puts all the console games in the MIDDLE of the freaking store with 3-4 aisles devoted, while all the PC games are in the back corner with half a shelf......

Because it's a convenience store for electronics? Read my above post. Between Steam, Amazon, Origin, etc a LOT of PC game purchases are done via the internet, and stores know this. The PC market has been moving to this for awhile now. In fact, if you see numbers for console vs PC games, for sales, they almost ALWAYS exclude the units sold via online sources. How many games have you bought for your console recently, via an online purchase? I've bought 4 for PC in the last month.

If PC gaming isnt dying, tell me why all the titles that do have support on all 3 major platforms (360, PS3, PC) devote their attention to the consoles first, then kinda half-ass make a PC version?

Not sure exactly what you mean by attention, but I'll take a crack at it. One of the reasons, as I'm sure you well know, that devs look to sweat more over the console versions is because they can't nearly as easily patch/update/fix the game as they can on the PC version; so you have them trying to perfect it to the nth degree for console release. They also know that the console market is different than the PC market. Word-of-mouth marketing is MUCH more prevalent in the PC market than it is for console (for obvious reasons).

Its because theres jack shit in profits in PC gaming as compared to console gaming, and with the ease of piracy its only getting worse for dev's to justify a PC version.

As far as profits, the PC market isn't hurting. That said, consoles still make bank because it caters to the more casual market which is a MUCH larger market. You have to remember we're dealing with video games. Only very recently has the stigma started to come off of people who play games for being nerds, etc. So because of this the general population has, again, only recently started to enter the fold of gaming. The console market has been, successfully, starting to slowly turn gaming into a normal practice for the general population, so of course they're going to sell. That and console is easier to use because it has one function, as where a PC has endless functions (which is what most PC gamers love).

I don't get this last part. It sounds like your last justification for console gaming is what other people will think of you? Which I talked about earlier. If you have a problem with social pressure, then sure go for console all the way. Moving a tower isn't a hard thing to do and, personally, I've had more trouble setting up console-based lan parties (back in my Halo days) than PC-based lan parties because you have to find several TV's, all of which have to be big enough to accommodate 4 different people playing on them. Also, it's easy for me to justify spending a grand on a PC when I know it will do EVERYTHING I could ever want (TV, movies, music, games, porn, communication, research, work, porn, shopping, etc). A console is going to do....games? That's about it, unless you count it as a DvD/blueray player.

For those of you looking to get Dead Island, it is a pretty legit game. It is a zombie version of Borderlands. So far, so good. No complaints here. And playing with your boys on co-op is legit.
