I'll diag the issue with the JMS later today. Shouldn't be a big deal.

You will definitely have to get a feel for the new setup. On the first pass yesterday the car was spinning all the way to the 1/8th, (Shaun has the video). The following two passes were much better after tire pressure and damper adjustments. Keep in mind that all this spinning was basically after the 60ft when the car really started making power. The car hooked up on the initial hit because it has no balls at such low RPM. Don't get me wrong, we were certainly scrubbing off ET due to tire spin down track, but I don't see any major improvements in 60ft times on a "prepped track" w/o a converter upgrade.

There is definitely more in this setup as it sits. Just needs some fine tuning. Make sure you bring a few adult diapers the first time you run it!
Great driving drew, I'll be sure to bring my depends on raceday LOL:lol:

Spinning at 108mph is no joke.
That's not even a laughing matter bro:eek:
I was there last night hanging out.. The car is absolutely beautiful!! And Drew is a damn beast staying in it that long on the first pass. The car was spinning so bad that you could see the corrections from how much he was turning the wheel lol.. I was looking at the front tires and going omg look at all the corrections ahahaha!!

Def has A LOT more in it like Drew and Shaun said!!

I had a great time last night!
Thanks saleen, we have to remember that Drew has super powers LOL:rockon:
That thing is moving!
Yeah it's F**KING FAST!!!

mph is low or the dyno is happy

Seems pretty close to me.

Drag times says DA was just under 2000FT.
Convert to Sea Level and the median MPH corrects to 135.77.
Car weighed in at 3700lbs on our scales with driver.

Wallace racing calcs for 3700lbs and 135.77mph says 761HP (FlyWheel)

I just did a quick google search and found a Stock 2013 A6 run on Steeda's dyno that put down 369 SAE. Factory rates these engines at 420. (I just had a stock 2011 A6 on my dyno and it put down 355, 13's are supposed to come with 8hp more?)

369 / 420 = .8785
* 761 from MPH vs Weight calc and you get 668RWHP. This setup put down 676RW SAE on my dyno.

Close enough for me!

Plus as we all know cars never run the fastest ET or MPH the first time out.

13% parasytic loss for the 6R80 seems highly optimistic... 17% more reasonable. Ford may be slightly underating the coyote. 761 flywheel with a 17% loss puts it around 630 to the tire.

Car runs hard , just not 675rw hard imo...but with opinions being like assholes dont get to close to mine

Does 17% take in to account the converter lock up? Probably worth a good bit if slip is eliminated and now we're down to just mechanical losses.
yes the frictional losses are independent of the converter type. AOD's had lockup converters but took 20-25% to run whereas a C4 is non-lockup but 2nd only to a PG in terms of efficiency at 14-15%

Like Drew and Shaun have both said, it's the first time out, theirs more in the car, its still being tweaked, once it's *DIALED* and on a decently prep'd track, then talk all you want....

A Dyno is just a tool for tuning anyway.
As long as the end result is a happy customer what do the numbers matter?

I'm a 1/4 mile time slip guy myself...

Well as we can all tell now 4VFTW is a dyno numbers kind of guy himself. Why do people get so stuck on dyno numbers is beyond me.

I agree 100% and I said that the car runs hard.

and we can all tell that you are a horrible judge of people because I have never once put any of my cars on a dyno to see #'s , always took it to the track. I expected more mph from 675rw is all.

Who cares if the car is slower to you. Car ran what it ran an that's what it is. Get over it. I see you have an issue since it took you about 5 post about the same thing worded differently

re

WOW. We have a 2013 A6 with basically identical setup but on 76mm pulley and it only makes 610 whp on race gas. Would this car be interested in racing our car?
what type of race gas are u using and how much boost do u see thanks.....610 whp is that dynojet also
