Iv searched and talked to some shops and people about this. Half of them say use the $50~ kit at autozone and half of them say don't. Ok so i just got a 140 mph speedo out of an 89 ssp 5.0. I always here that just swapping the 85 for a 140 speedo will cause no problems as long as its coming out and going into an 87-89 (my cars an 88). Well i got the cluster all opened and swapped my 85 for the 140, got it half back together...
